The life of Elis Regina Carvalho Costa (1945-1982) since she was a little gaucho who loved to listen and sing along with the radio. On the day she is taken to participate as an amateur in the radio show Clube do Guri, in Porto Alegre, the girl suffers a blockage and mutters on stage during the live broadcast. The following year, she returns and releases her voice, and her singing career begins to take off. Known as the "hurricane of Brazilian music" and chilli pepper, Elis Regina represents the most-celebrated Brazilian Popular Music revolutionary.
"Pro Dia Nascer Feliz" é o segundo longa-metragem do diretor João Jardim, diretor do cultuado documentário "Janela da Alma" que, em 2002, bateu recordes de público no gênero. Através de uma investigação do relacionamento do adolescente com a escola - ambiente fundamental em sua formação - o diretor traz à tona, além de questões comuns a qualquer adolescente dentro do ambiente escolar, questões como a desigualdade social e o impacto da banalização da violência no desenvolvimento de muitos desses jovens.
The movie depicts the political crisis that led to the suicide of president Getúlio Vargas, in the 19 days that preceded August 24, 1954. The crisis began with the attempted assassination of journalist and politician Carlos Lacerda in August 5, 1954, at rua Toneleros, Rio de Janeiro, in which Major Vaz was assassinated instead. Investigations pointed to Gregório Fortunato, chief of Vargas' personal guard, as the orderer of the frustrated assassination. This incident was one of the most importants in the history of Brazil.
