Asura: The City of Madness

This is about two young men who want to find the meaning of their lives. Do Chul is a boxer who never wins a game. While trying to make some money, he gets involved with Hong-Gi, a small-time crook. They somehow make friends and hang around together, but their views toward life and the world are almost opposite. Do Chul despises Hong-Gi's blind materialism. Hong-Gi mocks Do Chul's obsession with good-for-nothing boxing career.

a story based on actual events that took place in the late 1970's. "Seoului Bom" was a period (October 26, 1979-May 17, 1980) when many pro-democracy demonstrations took place.

Video game producer Lee Dong Ho (Lee Byung Hun) and freelance artist Choi Mi Ran are both young, ambitious people who are passionate about their life and work. They meet by chance one night on the road, and end up spending the night together. On their way home, they witness a gang-related murder, and from that day on their lives take a dramatic turn as they become the perpetrators' next targets.

In 1375, China was in chaos between Yuan Dynasty and Ming Dynasty. Coryo (an ancient kingdom of Korea then) sent a delegation of many diplomats, soldiers and a silent slave to make peace with the new Chinese government. However, this delegation got charged as spies and sent in exile to a remote desert.

As shy, awkward and, frankly, nerdy as she is, 25 year old public official Na Young-ju has little hope of landing a boyfriend. But then a game of chance designates her as the member of her office staff who will take English courses—much to her horror. In the same class, she encounters show salesman Park Moon-su, who fancies himself a dashing ladies’ man. He’s studying English in part to communicate with his long-lost American sister, but mostly for the purpose of wielding exotic pick-up lines, and is soon deploying them at the less-than-impressed Cathy, the pretty Australian teaching the class. But while Park flirts with Cathy, it’s Young-ju who finds herself mooning after the handsome if self-absorbed fellow.

A case of the flu quickly morphs into a pandemic. As the death toll mounts and the living panic, the government plans extreme measures to contain it.

This movie follows the story of three friends in Korea, all three of whom drop out of school. The main character is Min, a tough guy whose widowed mother is a drunk. The story traces his journey from high school to the underworld as one of his friends introduces him to life in the mob. Complicating Min's life further is his romance with Romi, a girl from an upper-class family with dreams of going to a prestigious college.
