Already the star of his own half-hour Comedy Central special, and a writer performer for the Off Broadway hit "The Marijuana-logues," Jimmy Dore is best described by critics as a "Bad-assed Bill Maher with a boulder sized chip on his shoulder." Jimmy Dore now takes on the government and the easily misled in his hilarious new one hour Comedy Central Special Citizen Jimmy. He's not a partisan, he's a citizen. Citizen Jimmy.
Ralphie May proves he's TOO BIG TO IGNORE in his record breaking 4th Comedy Central Special. Voted one of Variety's 10 Comics to Watch, Ralphie May spreads his comedic wealth further than ever by tackling topics that will make you think and occasionally squirm. With no subject off limits, Ralphie dives in and reveals the hilarious quirks that infiltrate politics, race and even his family. Lovable enough to get away with anything, Ralphie continues to capture the hearts of thousands on his sold out tours and promises to make you gleefully uncomfortable.
Voted one of Variety's "10 Comics to Watch" in 2008, Ralphie May is a comedic force capable of making you laugh your balls off -- yes, even you ladies. As lovable as he is outrageous, this veteran comedy juggernaut and star of TV's "Last Comic Standing" keeps his sold-out audience at the histroric Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas, in a continuous uproar with his supercharged, politically incorrect stand-up.
"Last Comic Standing" runner-up Lavell Crawford lords over a hometown crowd at St. Louis's Orpheum Theatre, raking in the love -- and the laughs. Jokes cover the hilarity of presidential politics and the social scene in heaven.
Having entertained an enormous volume of music fans over their lengthy career, The Doobie Brothers reunited at the start of the 21st Century, and set about winning over a whole new generation of listeners. This concert was filmed in 2004, and sees the band working their way through a delicious selection of material. A huge crowd laps up the retro sounds emitting from the stage, with the Doobie's performing hit after hit after hit. Among the tracks played are "Rockin' Down The Highway," "Listen To The Music," "China Grove," "Black Water," and many others. For viewers looking to experience some of the magical songs that lit up the 1970s, this is a great starting point.
Ron White does an hour long standup routine about his life, things that bother him, and other thoughts.
Roseanne Barr is back with an all-new HBO comedy special! Filmed live at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles, Roseanne returns to her stand-up roots for the first time in 14 years, as she tackles hot issues of today - from gay marriage to President Bush.
The Reverend Horton Heat at Deep Ellum Live in Dallas, Texas in November of 2003.
At 6'6" tall, clad in a tailored black suit and trademark black horn-rimmed glasses, Drew Hastings is a commanding presence on the stage. As he launches into his personal study of the complex human condition, the irregularities and uncertainties of misguided love, and his earnest attempts at farming, he is hilarious, insightful and deeply self-deprecating. Drew has been a regular guest on the syndicated Bob and Tom Radio Show and All-Star Theatre Tour, and he has years of stand up experience in clubs all across the country. His seasoned comedic talent pays off big in his first long awaited comedy special! Articulate yet acerbic, Drew Hastings is a raconteur with plenty of stories to tell. Irked & Miffed will leave you anything but.
Filmed live at the Palace of Auburn Hills, Michigan in 2008, Three Days Grace: Live At The Palace looks good. The Blu-ray transfer reveals a pleasing color-scheme, good contrast and lack of overly disturbing "motion-judder". The actual show is filmed by multiple, strategically placed, HD cameras that do an excellent job of Adam Gontier and the rest of the guys in Three Days Grace. Furthermore, you would see plenty of the audience as well; the HD cameras zoom over and around the stage providing a good look at the entire venue. In addition to the concert footage, Three Days Grace: Live At The Palace also provides plenty of behind the scene footage where fans of the band are seen interacting with their idols.
