Gil Portes' drama about an immigrant (Nora Aunor), and her struggle to survive in the United States.
A migrant couple in New York is wrongfully accused of molesting their children. Their fight for justice exposes the prejudices and discrimination suffered by Filipinos overseas and the shattering of the myth of American dream harbored by Filipino expatriates in search of greener pastures. The true-to-life account charts in tragic detail the ordeal of a family under siege in an alien country to convey an unequivocal rebuke of the ironically ominous aspects of life in the nation dubbed as the home of the free, the land of milk and honey and the greatest in the world.
