Draft Day

In an unspecified future, Beijing within the 6th Ring Road is divided by three classes physically, sharing the same earth surface in each 48 hour cycle.

A post office clerk mistakenly thinks that a customer is trying to get her attention by writing open love letters on postcards he sends out. However, although he is trying to catch someone's attention with these missives, they are actually meant for another postal worker.

A girl writes love letters to a policeman and puts them in a police box on his beat. One day a jealous boy sees her tampering with the box and decides to play a trick on the two.

The story of four friends who travel from Bangkok to a remote village in the mountains for the funeral of one of the group's estranged father where supernatural events transpire. There they unleash a curse that had been long held at bay by the villagers and discover multiple layers of cover-up. While everyone becomes a suspect in the mystery, they discover that the woods conceal something worse than just superstition, and soon the whole group is being hunted.

In Thailand, all males turning 21 years old must participate in the annual military draft lottery. Drawing a black card grants exemption, while drawing red results in two years of military service. On the morning of his draft lottery, Oat reflects back on his childhood -- when as a child, his older brother Ek faced the possibility of being drafted himself. Unable to convince Ek to do whatever he can to change his fate, young Oat takes matters into his own hands, resulting in unexpected circumstances.
