A jealous husband who begins to doubt the fidelity of his wife, when his best friend enters their lives. Wife was unable to convince husband that she loves only him. He leaves her, not knowing that she is pregnant with his child. Depressed and confused, husband becomes a homeless wanderer, while wife remarries to provide a secure home for her child. Many years later, the truth dawns on him as he turns up, a broken man, at his own daughter's wedding.

Ramulamma,an innocent young girl, works as a maid in a Dora’s residence as a slave. She gets raped and impregnated by the Dora. and he orders his men to throw the baby and kill Ramulamma. The baby was found by naxals and was raised by them. Injured Ramulamma was taken care by a Dalit couple who treat her as their own sister. Rajesh (Nagarjuna) is a racy youngster who falls in love with Alekhya (Rajani). Things go well when Rajesh and Alekhya plan to get married and it is when a root of suspicion lands in Rajesh’s mind through a friend. The suspicion is something about the character of Alekhya and when Rajesh enquires about it, the latter gets furious. She questions Rajesh asking how can he suspect her by believing a friend’s word and also comes to a conclusion that his love is not worth of accepting.
