A man wakes up with a hangover where his memory should be, and discovers he also has a love bite and a filofax that weren't there before, both of which appear to come from someone named Sonia. In order to return at least one of the items, he attempts to retrace his steps from the night before, through Hong Kong's club culture.
Raymond Lam stars as Rick, a successful architect who discovers he may have a forgotten past. He gets hit by a car while lost in thought over an advertisement featuring Angela Lok (Rain Li), a popular novelist. When he awakes, he finds he's lost his creative abilities. Only when he's near Angela does the spark return. So what does he do? He moves into her building, of course. However, it isn't that easy. Rick's current project is supposed to tear down Angela's apartment building, evicting her and the local residents (including Wong Yat-Fei and Wyman Wong). She fights him at first, but as you'd expect, her defenses wear down and the two become friends. Even more, Angela senses a hidden past between she and Rick, too. The two resolve to discover more about it, and along the way their feelings grow for one another.

But Hoi is no angel at all. He is just a grifter on the run from yakuza loan sharks. When Yan (Yang Kuei-mei), the owner of an escort service, is convinced the ingenuous Jun will mark a perfect gigolo, Hoi decides to transform his pal into Tokyo's most sought-after Lothario in order to eke out a living and to pay his debts.
Manson Law, a celebrated stockbroker in Hong Kong, is injured in a car accident. The police, led by Inspector Jack Ho, discovers a military surveillance device in the car wreck. Meanwhile, the wiretapper Joe Szema is unveiling his extensive plan that targets the mysterious financial conglomerate, the Landlord Club. The fate of these three men soon intertwines in the cat-and-mouse game that may bring down the entire stock market.
