Set in North America and Europe in 1938–39, the story follows Joseph Joestar and Caesar Zeppeli, the descendants of Jonathan Joestar and Will A. Zeppeli from Phantom Blood who can manipulate a sunlight-based energy called Hamon. Along with the Hamon coach Lisa Lisa, Joseph and Caesar seek to prevent ancient humanoids called the Pillar Men, who invented the stone masks from Phantom Blood, from obtaining a powerful stone called the Super Aja, which would make them into ultimate beings and conquer their weakness of sunlight.

The film adapts and expands the Planetarian visual novel by Key. The story is set in a dystopian future where biological and nuclear warfare has left a once prosperous civilization in complete ruin. The film tells the story of an old man travelling around with a mobile planetarium projector to show people the stars.
Protected by the highest security, the Maison de Ayakashi is rumored to be haunted, where only eccentrics could live. In reality, it is a place for humans with non-human ancestors to live. The socially-inept Ririchiyo has come here to improve herself. She meets secret service bodyguard Soushi, who is assigned to protect residents. He has a request of her: "Please make me your dog."
The story is set in England in the early-to-late 1880s, and follows Jonathan Joestar, the heir of the wealthy Joestar family, and his adoptive brother Dio Brando, who wishes to take the Joestar fortune for himself. Using an ancient stone mask, Dio transforms himself into a vampire, and Jonathan learns the sunlight-based martial arts technique of Hamon to fight him.
The events take place 11 years after the events of Stardust Crusaders, and follows the adventures of Josuke Higashikata, the illegitimate son of Joseph Joestar, as he and his new friends hunt for an evasive magical bow and arrow which has granted people dangerous Stand powers, uprooting Josuke's previously quiet life in their home town of Morioh.
Set in Italy during 2001, two years after the events of Diamond is Unbreakable, the series follows the adventures of Giorno Giovanna, the son of Dio Brando (from Phantom Blood and Stardust Crusaders) but conceived with Jonathan Joestar's body, who joins the criminal organization Passione in the hopes of becoming a gangster (or "Gang-Star") and taking control of the organization in the name of reform.
Set in 1987, the series follows Jotaro Kujo and his comrades, which have developed supernatural powers known as Stands, as they travel to Egypt to kill the vampire DIO to free Jotaro's mother from a curse that is slowly killing her.
The Shirakiin house's daughter, Ririchiyo Shirakiin, who has a complex about being unable to live independently and unprotected, feels the need to move out and live on her own under the condition of residing in the mansion named "Ayakashi Kan".
