Bruno Varela shows his trip through the City of Stone with Felix Roque as a guide. In "Motherboard", make visible the different registers in which the memory can be saved, one of these possibilities is achieved when walking. Thus, the City of Stone is configured as a space where different stories have been recorded that can only be narrated by those who have crossed their paths and who can tell us the secrets that hides this place.
A log, with multiple formats, of an inner journey, a personal-aesthetic manifesto, an organic revision of audiovisual material recorded between 1994 and 2013 in various locations that range from small communities in Oaxaca and the capitol city of that state, to La Paz, Bolivia, or New York. Tiempo aire (Airtime) —made by the renowned visual artist and filmmaker Bruno Varela— alludes to that element which is necessary for the universe to continue, and which cinema requires in order to be consolidated.
Asbstract short based on Torilla like images.
Audiovisual footage from the 54,000 page report, divided into 85 volumes (with 13 appendices) about the Iguala Case (the disappearance and presumed murder of 43 student activists by an organized crime group, in collusion with the local government in southern Mexico), made public by the federal attorney general office (PRG) in 2015.
Eugenia, a 6 year old survivor who has the ability to move between different points of spacetime, is the connection between the parts to align the lock of a door between the folds of time.

2004 Mexican experimental short
The historical Estudios Churubusco lab, where golden era Mexican films were processed in the 1950s, is still open, pretty much untouched. This film is a desperate and loving attempt to keep memory of the people, knowledge and objects that coexist in this space, that risks closing at any time. Lab workers participated in the shoot as animators, actors and technical advisors.
The concept of memory and image are mixed in this piece to reveal the continuity in the justifications that the Mexican Government issues to perpetuate violence.
In the film Tierra the artist’s hands manipulate the organicity of the raw materials. The colors and textures are closely portrayed in 16mm by Elena Pardo and summarizes the long process of the realization of the mural Tu cuerpo selva in Oaxaca, Mexico in a few frames.
Desaparecer / Disappear: to stop being in sight or in a place, cease to exist. In Mexico one person disappears every 1 hour and 50 minutes, that is, 13 people a day. Through the use of landscape and self portrait, we explore the ephemeral quality of image and physical presence. Codirection: Manuel Trujillo Production format: 16m (Text from Canyon Cinema)
