A future film about the Flatwood Monster

A family is torn apart during the American Civil War.

A boy who lives at a country club where his father works decides to make some extra money by selling composted horse manure as fertilizer, and has his three sisters (two of which are older) join him in the enterprise. As their sales increase, they draw increased scrutiny from the IRS and state tax board, as well as the large scale competitor who seeks to put them out of business at any cost.

Tony and Emmy Award winner George Hearn stars as a fisherman in love -- and hopelessly out of water -- in this Broadway Theatre Archive production of Gardner McKay's stage play romance. The rural fisherman's life is turned upside down when he unexpectedly falls for a city girl (Veronica Castang) who works for a Liverpool publisher. But her decision to publish his quaintly worded letters as poetry nets them both a fresh catch of problems.

The film centers mostly around the personal and professional life of Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson, a brilliant if eccentric Confederate general, from the outbreak of the American Civil War until its halfway point when Jackson is killed accidentally by his own soldiers in May 1863 during his greatest victory.

An aspiring country singer (Dennis Quaid) and his feisty younger sister/manager (Kristy McNichol) struggle to reach their dreams of Nashville stardom-as long as she can keep her brother out of trouble with the ladies and the law-in this drama "inspired by," but not really connected to, the hit '70s ballad. Mark Hamill and Don Stroud also star.

Paul Gallico's filmed play explores the camaraderie between a USO girl named Verna (Sissy Spacek) and an American soldier (William Hurt) stationed in Belgium during World War II. This play was produced for television and is part of the Broadway Theatre Archive. It's a wonderful trip to a bygone era with stellar performances from Hurt and Spacek.

In the summer of 1863, General Robert E. Lee leads the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia into Gettysburg, Pennsylvania with the goal of marching through to Washington, D.C. The Union Army of the Potomac, under the command of General George G. Meade, forms a defensive position to confront the rebel forces in what will prove to be the decisive battle of the American Civil War.

Two best friends plot to get their single parents together to stop one of them from moving to New York.
