Also Directed by Ray Manzarek
INDUCTION - Ray Manzarek's 2nd U.C.L.A. student film from the spring semester of 1965. A sync-sound project, it is a tale of lovers lost and lovers found, with Dorothy Fujikawa, Kathy Zeller and Ray. Jim Morrison can actually be seen - albeit briefly - in the party sequence.
A 1968 concert given by the rock group The Doors at the Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood, California.
This black and white student film stars Ray Manzarek's girlfriend (and future wife of 40+ years) Dorothy Fujikawa along with fellow film student Hank Olguin. The film is a series of scenes that show Dorothy and Hank in different life situations, while the narration is a conversation between Hank and Dorothy discussing different topics. The central theme is the life of a jazz musician and his girlfriend.
Filmed during their 1968 European tour, The Doors are captured in performances in London, Stockholm, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam. Paul Kantner and Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplane, who shared the bill with The Doors on this tour, narrate this compilation.
A collection of short films, interviews and concert footage of the '60s rock band The Doors. Includes three basic video segments: Dance on Fire, Live at the Hollywood Bowl and The Soft Parade. Each of the videos is directed by Ray Manzarek. The "extras" include Ray's two UCLA student films.
