In the original short film, a young man in a green wizard costume runs throughout America at super speed, much like the superhero The Flash. Along the way, he gives a pretty girl a swift lift to another city, gives golden stars to other women who want a trip themselves. He then slips on a banana peel and comically crashes into a film stage, which he then brings to life in magical ways.
One of Mike Jittlov's greatest short films, also known as Animato: Fashionation (1977). The short was made using kinestasis and cutout animation, mostly from fashion magazines illustrating the lyrics of the song "I Know a Place" by Petula Clark. It also extensively used multiple exposures, pixilation and stop motion for the brief live-action sequence. The second half of the film opens The Wizard Of Speed And Time (1988) in a re-scored version.
Animato is a compilation of short films by Mike Jittlov, making extensive use of stop motion, pixilation, kinestasis, animation, and multiple exposures. It features the films The Interview, Swing Shift, Rocketman, The Leap, Time Tripper, and Fashionation. It was screened at Filmex in 1977.
A Hollywood filmmaker (Mike Jittlov) makes a short for an evil film studio. Unbeknownest to him, the producer has placed a bet of $25,000 that he won't come up with anything with a use. Luckily, our film creator gets the help of his friends.

Mike’s 1974 short film Swing Shift, where a department store security guard on the night shift tries to fend off a bunch of clothes that spring to life as the clock strikes midnight. Featuring Dan Collins as the guard, and scored with Bernard Herrmann’s Oscar-winning music from The Devil & Daniel Webster (1941).

Originally created for the Disney TV special "Mickey's 50th". Mike Jittlov goes to see psychiatrist Ekim Jittlov, but instead sees a bunch of stop-motion Disney memorabilia.
Mike Jittlov's short film Time Tripper (1978), mainly filmed in Bob Burns’ back yard using the original titular prop from George Pal’s The Time Machine (1960). The music is “Morning On The Ranch” from Aaron Copland’s score to The Red Pony (1949). The majority of this short was re-used in The Wizard Of Speed And Time (1988), with a new score by John Massari.
