Balakrishnan is a history teacher working in an elementary school in a hillside village. Nirmala has been newly recruited in the temporary post of a music teacher in the same school. Balakrishnan eventually falls in love with her but his timid nature doesn't allow him to express his feeling. So in order to get close to her, he decides to accompany her to her native village. Some unexpected incidents happen during the journey and this changes both of their destiny.
Randu Penkuttikal is a 1978 Indian Malayalam-language film directed by Mohan from a screenplay by Surasu, which is partially based on the novel of the same name by V. T. Nandakumar. This movie is one of the earliest movies to explore the theme of lesbianism in a normalised way.

The movie sketches through the life of an Army Man enriched with so many emotional sequences. Brigadier Rajashekharan Nambiar is a strict and tough officer in Indian Army. Dr. Sunny is his neighbor in native now he is in Army too. Susanna is a typical Army Nurse who has so much liabilities which hooks her down.
Appu (Nedumudi) is struggling to make ends meet while doing odd jobs and trying to find a more stable job. In the meanwhile he meets Amminikutty (Madhavi) with whom he falls in love. He however lies to her and makes her believe that he has a well paying government job. In the meanwhile Amminikutty's cousin, Das (Mammotty) arrives in town to further complicate Appu's plans.
The film starts out as a campus story involving four boys, Thomas, Ravi, Alosius and Swami. There is the usual pranks that the boys of the age do, although the movie doesn't just revolve around these.The second half of the movie takes us to scenic locales of Munnar. The second half also introduces the major female character, Molu. The movie centres around the problems faced by them in a hotel in Munnar.
Pakshe movie is all about Balachandran (Mohanlal) who had to sacrifice his childhood love (Shobhana), to marry into a rich family who only wanted his IAS Status, in order to save his poor family, lives a life of regret and despair for his decision.
