Not a Time to Celebrate

“Three” is the rule. The film has three parts. Each part has three shots and each shot is thirty seconds in length. Three characters share their erotic desires from the point of view of a third class citizen in contemporary Thai society.

Pitch and Shane, who once were lovers, are trying to heal the pain of their lives by reviving their old romance through the making the traditional Thai ornament made of the leaves and flowers that symbolize love and virtue. When Shane finds out that Pich is dying, he decides to become a monk.

Gay schoolboy Krit is in love with his straight classmate Vin They hang out together, go to temples and one day hike into the forest with two girl friends to see the spectacular Pachang Waterfall. And that's the whole plot of this short, elegiac film where time flows like the waters of the river the boys follow, sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes swirling back. Against the idyllic setting of undisturbed forest and crumbling temples, Krit woos his would-be lover and prays to the Buddha to help him. Vin, however, is afraid of being seen as gay yet is unwilling to reject his friend.

The story of four friends who travel from Bangkok to a remote village in the mountains for the funeral of one of the group's estranged father where supernatural events transpire. There they unleash a curse that had been long held at bay by the villagers and discover multiple layers of cover-up. While everyone becomes a suspect in the mystery, they discover that the woods conceal something worse than just superstition, and soon the whole group is being hunted.

A sexy supernatural love story about a bullied loner, Tam, who finds solace in the arms of Phum, a boy he meets at a haunted swimming pool. Phum reveals that his family's land has been stolen and the new found lovers imagine a perfect life together on the disputed land. Haunted by a ghostly presence, Tam struggles to stay connected to reality.
