One for the Angels

Steve Sinclair is a world a world-weary former gunslinger, now living as a peaceful farmer. Things go wrong when his wild younger brother Tony arrives on the scene with his new bride Joan Blake.

After a collision he finds himself trapped below deck with time running out (the ship is aflame), and only Felix, whom he hates and has sworn to kill, left to save him.

A single father (Richard Widmark) falls in love with his son's schoolteacher (Joanne Dru). Director Robert Parrish's 1952 drama also stars George Winslow, Audrey Totter, Regis Toomey, Joan Banks and Frank Nelson.
