"Angry Nazife" - About Nazife, a fishing woman who loves Bahriyeli Ahmet. Nazife cooks and sells fish to support her family. Ahmet and Nazife love each other, but they are to poor to get married.
Cellat, the Turkish version of Death Wish, sticks fairly close plot wise to the template of the American film, with some scenes and bits of dialogue being almost identical. However, it also deviates from its inspiration at times and is at its most interesting and valuable in these little moments, providing lurid snapshots of a place and a culture.
Turkish spy Golden Boy takes a London vacation while, back in Istanbul, baddies are running rampant shooting people and thwarted secret messages with wild abandon. Turns out this mayhem is all the handiwork of a nefarious, Blofeld-esque bad baddie (Günbay) who enjoys petting a white kitty cat when he isn't plotting to blow up Turkey with a atomic bomb. Can our Golden Boy stop it in time when he isn't distracted by all the belly dancers and extended fist fights?
