It is a triangular love story between three young teenagers. The story portrays how the hero finds his true love.

Set in Kolkata, the story revolves around Jai, an orphan nurtured into an accomplished hit man by Bhagawan, a ruthless gangster. Due to this, Jai is loyal to him and keeps protecting him all possible dangers, most of which seem to be coming from Bhagawan's rival, Kulkarni. Jai's life starts to change when Munna, Bhagawan's son returns to India and his obsession with Jahnavi makes him commit a number of atrocities. Jai has promised Bhagawan to be the shadow of Munna and protect him. However, Munna's more atrocities end up ruining some lives, causing Jai to do something that endangers his own life from both the sides.

The film's plot is set in the backdrop of 26/11 serial blasts in Mumbai, and revolves around Ashok Kumar (Ajith), who is on a mission to expose a scam regarding faulty bullet proof jackets that are provided to security forces, which resulted in many bloody deaths including his best friend and colleague, Assistant Commissioner Sanjay (Rana).

The film revolves around five individual characters and the events in their life, that, on the one hand, changes everything in their respective lives, which the film's title refers to, and, on the other hand, also brings together these people. It is an anthology film, that contains two parallel moving stories, which are connected by a freak accident in Chennai. A young architect, falls in love with a young beautiful pediatric doctor, runs after her and tries to convince her to marry her, while, simultaneously, a morose ex-football coach troubles a software engineer by vowing to kill his eight-year-old son. How these characters get connected and confronted through the accident forms the crux of the story.

The intertwined stories of an international Don in Malaysia, David Billa, chased by the cops, an Indian police officer, a woman who wants to avenge the death of her brother, and a lowly thief, Velu who shares with Billa, an unusual connection.

A college student files a police complaint against the adopted son of a gangster for shooting his girlfriend. However, the gangster is shocked to learn that the student is his real son.

A small-time hooligan hired to kill a girl and an aspiring movie actor find themselves in the wrong place due to a mix-up. Now, the gangster who ordered the hit is after all the three of them.
