It is the day after President Park's death. Four children are left at home alone while their parents visit relatives in the country. A small dose of responsibility turns into an abuse of power as the older sisters start bossing their younger brothers around. The boys attempt to entertain themselves, and keep from starving, until their parents return.

"Short! Short! Short! 2009" is an anthology film commissioned by the Jeonju International Film Festival (JIFF) to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The film consists of 10 short films centered around the theme of "Money," made by 10 up & coming directors in South Korea.

This film follows the lives of four very different couples as they deal with love, loss and life in these romantic, loosely interconnected tales. A 30-year-old firefighter is looking for just the right ring for his fiancée. A guy who cannot find a job is in a long-term relationship with a wonderful, long-suffering woman who is beginning to grow tired of their situation. An 8-year-old boy desperately misses his busy mom. A deaf girl with a terrible burn on her face falls in love with a painter, dreaming of a perfect love. Love ends so that love can begin again.

Soon-tae is a proudly law abiding citizen of Korea, then one day he is wrongly accused and arrested as the main suspect behind the murder of the daughter-in-law of a major company. Despite Soon-tae’s pleads of innocence, he is sentenced death and his daughter is forced to endure the hardships of being a child of a murderer.
