Shakti: The Power

Balaraju, the head of his village, lives with his wife Baby along with his two sons Chandrasekhar Rao and Bangari and two daughters. He helps Chandrasekhar become a doctor and builds a local hospital. On the day it opens, Chandrasekhar comes back home with his lover Kausalya, also a doctor. Both express their wish to marry and settle abroad, which upsets Balaraju, leading to their separation. 25 years later, Chandrasekhar, a successful doctor in London, tells the story to his son Abhiram and daughter Indu. Abhiram decides to go home to Balaraju and attempt a reconciliation. He meets his friend, Bunny, at the airport and goes to the village on Bunny's bike the next day.

A young boy is made to realise that the police form the backbone of society and every cop is akin to Lord Hanuman the protector. He then makes up his mind about becoming a cop when he grows up.​

Rama Krishna or Rakhi (Jr. NTR) aspires to become railway stationmaster like his father (Chandramohan). His love interest and close friend Tripura (Ileana D'Cruz) is a reporter in TV channel who exposes atrocities against women in society. For Rakhi, his sister Gayathri (Manjusha) is everything. Devastated by this he takes the law into his own hands and starts to kill men for harassing women. A police officer Meenakshi Iyer (Suhasini) convinces him to surrender to the law. Before surrendering, he has killed over 49 misogynists. Finally in jail, he kills his sister's friend's murderer like a tiger and in the climax, the main villain ministers . His dialogs in the court are remarkable. The court drama forms the rest of the story.

Anthahpuram is a 1998 Telugu film directed by Krishna Vamsi, which was later remade in 1999 in Tamil with the same name. Chandralekha is a 1998 Telugu film, directed by Krishna Vamsi. The film stars Akkineni Nagarjuna, Ramya Krishna, and Bollywood actress Isha Koppikar in the lead roles. Sandeep Chowtha scored music for the film. This is the second combination of Nagarjuna-Vamsi-Chowtha after Ninne Pelladatha. Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt made a special appearance for the first time in a Telugu film. This film is a remake of the Mohanlal Starrer Malayalam film Chandralekha which was directed by Priyadarshan.
