Orphaned by a father and children by a black mother, the little one is rejected by his grandmother, while the girl must deny her own mother.

Infante stars as a rebel general caught up in a tempestuous romantic tug-of-war between two women: his ex-girlfriend (Chula Prieto) and his wife (Lilia Prado). This love triangle yields devastating consequences for the wife, including imprisonment and estrangement from her child; when she is finally reunited with the baby and the general, all concerned (including the mistress) must face an onslaught of terror from bellicose governmental soldiers.

In times of the French Intervention, a student of Nunó, author of the Mexican National Anthem, falls in love with the niece of the French Ambassador, which causes quite amusing complications.

Pepe el Toro is married to Celia la Chorreada and they have two children.

A poor neighborhood in Mexico City. Carpenter Pepe el Toro lives peacefully with his daughter Chachita while woos the pretty Celia, but tragedy knocks his door when he is falsely accused of having perpetrated a felony.

Ricardo wants to become and actor against his father's wishes who would rather see him as a lawyer. Ricardo gets a part in a movie that is being sabotaged and for which he is wrongly accused. He chooses to defend himself at trial and finally uncovers true culprit. His father ends up admitting his son is as good as an actor as he is a lawyer.
