The Best Day Ever

This small film raises the topic of Russian cinema. The fact that in modern Russia there are practically no decent artistic paintings. But a good movie might exist. The plot is as follows: an unknown beggar actor, who has come to the casting, begins to hysterical, which turns into a bright abusive monologue about a failed broken life and about hundreds of poor people like himself.

A couple of hours before the New Year a neighbor comes to an old lady for some salt. And quite suddenly kills her. And now his whole family, that gets together to celebrate the New Year, is to find out what to do now, and who is to blame.

The main character is the star of a popular TV series about doctors, actor Yegor Rumyantsev. Having achieved great success, he becomes an egoist and does not notice the feelings and experiences of those around him: he does not come to the shooting, leads a promiscuous sex life and deceives people. One day, Egor finds out that he has HIV. Rumyantsev's brother Lev is a mediocre and unlucky actor who runs a program about useful handicrafts on the cable channel "Ant-TV". Leo has a pregnant wife with two young daughters. He has no prospects for making money and moving up the career ladder until he gets a chance to replace his brother Yegor in the series.

Progressive and talented Natasha and Roma dream of a European wedding by the sea - but Natasha's stepfather procured a different scenario. Rough official of the city administration considers the celebration as a springboard for their careers, and seeks to arrange all the «how to». Young awaits an unforgettable evening in the restaurant «Golden» with a complete set of the tedious rites. Not fight, the guys decide to spend their dream wedding in secret from conservative relatives. But by accident both celebration come together.
