The life of Casanova as told through the love letters he sent and received, which were found in the castle of Duchov where he died. The loves, hates, fortune and misfortune of the great lover who, among other things, invented the French national lottery, spied, and fought duels. A confidante of kings (and queens) who ended up hating what he had become.
The plot follows Morris (Curran), a recluse with psychotic tendencies, whose life changes when his innocent daughter (Vickers) rescues one of his victims and befriends him. Jake (Hill), an ordinary businessman, soon realizes that he is stranded, and his presence in the house gradually reveals unexpected and dark mysteries from the past.
What started off as a whirlwind romance takes an unexpected turn when Mark discovers his beautiful bride-to-be is plotting against him. In cahoots with an old school buddy, they hatch a plan to take half of Mark’s £20 million fortune and use it for their own happy ending. What they don’t realize is that Mark is one step ahead of them.
The Church sends in a team to investigate the tragic deaths of a young group found in the crypt of a Convent.
