The Heart of the Earth

When a dead woman is found in a hotel room, the destiny of a town changes forever. In a puzzling case involving the hotel’s director, her lover, and the town’s most prominent family, dark secrets and forbidden affairs will shock the core of a conservative society. Set in post-WWII Spain, a time when Spanish people had little freedom under the ever-watching eye of the Civil Guard and the Franco dictatorship. Lola, a Mexican waitress working in Madrid, befriends a 30-year-old suicidal man who has borrowed $1,000,000 to spend on his last day on Earth, knowing he will be killed anyway if he fails to return the money. After meeting Lola, however, he decides that life might be worth living after all.

Clara is an amnesiac woman who faces the reconstruction of a dark past, connecting your business life with a mobster Iranian drug trafficking, prostitution, arms sales and political corruption.
