Three's a Crowd

A cynical detective and a Roman Catholic bishop team up to investigate the reported miraculous powers of a 17-year-old girl being held captive in the home of her father, an ailing syndicate kingpin.

Two men and a woman, all friends and martial arts experts, visit Hong Kong, where they grew up. When the woman disappears, the men find out that she has been kidnapped by white slavers, and find themselves battling a gang of kung-fu killers in an attempt to rescue their friend.

The Sophisticated Gents is a TV miniseries that aired on three consecutive nights from September 29 to October 1, 1981, on NBC. Its ensemble cast featured a number of African-American stage and film actors, many of whom were customarily seen in Soul Cinema Classic motion pictures in the 1970s. The miniseries is based upon the novel The Junior Bachelor Society by John A. Williams. Although production of the project ended in 1979, NBC did not air the miniseries until almost two years later.

Owen Marshall, Counselor at Law is an American legal drama, jointly created by David Victor and former law professor Jerry McNeely, that starred actor Arthur Hill. The series was broadcast on ABC from 1971 to 1974. A two-hour pilot movie had aired as a 1971 ABC Movie of the Week entry prior to the series run.

Carole Stanwyck and Sydney Kovack were both married to the same man, a private detective. When he is killed, they both attend his memorial. When they learn how he was killed, they can't help but investigate his murder themselves. They are aided by a couple of guys who works for him, and his mother, a police lieutenant who likes Sydney.
