Mentir para vivir is a Mexican telenovela produced by Rosy Ocampo for Televisa. The telenovela is written by Maria Zarattini, who last wrote La Fuerza del Destino. Mayrín Villanueva and David Zepeda star as the protagonists, while Altair Jarabo, Leticia Perdigón and Diego Olivera star as the antagonists.

Amanda is 33 years old. Her dull life is suddenly altered when she is forced to take care of her old alcoholic grandmother, Dolores, a retired actress who lives on her past glories. Up until now, Amanda has never had much of a relationship with her grandmother.

However, with her cheerlul character, open and rebellious, not appear to conform to life in the cloister, and especially have problems with the novices director , who often punished for trying to take the right path. In the convent, which also functions as children's hospital, she meets a doctor with which it takes quite right for the contrast between his two characters, but his way with love and mutual respect.
