The new drama series "An August Night", which is a continuation of "The Island" takes us back to the 50s. Spinalonga closes and a feast follows in the village. The healthy meet the newly cured and all together celebrate freedom from fear and disease. But everything freezes with the murder of a woman by her husband, when he learns that his best friend had a lover.

When a series of brutal murders begins, Christos is the only person who can explain what happened. He starts narrating a story to two police officers, a story in which nobody is who they seem to be and they all switch roles and positions up until the final twist. A story about deception, following a narrative that manipulates till the very end.

Tattoo artist Billy and unemployed Nakos are best friends from Athens. Old bachelor Nakos is a racist, obsessed with the victim mentality, and he rages at Greece’s increasing immigrant numbers. Billy, however, is in favor of foreigners coming. They meet in Amerika Square in Athens because of Syrian refugee Tarek.

At that exact moment, the president of the Gun Club, Impey Barbicane, provided the solution by announcing that he has a plan to fire a cannonball to the Moon, an act that also constitutes the first substantial contact of man with the satellite of the Earth and will glorify the 36 United States of America all over the world.
