Ramakrishna (Chiranjeevi) is a mechanic whose life changes when he meets Priya (Anjala Zaveri) at a train station. She sees him and feels some inexplicable connection and runs away with him to flee her father, Mahendra's (Prakash Raj) goons. They end up living in the forest with their son, but her father, who is an underworld don, kidnaps her so that he can marry her off to another don's son. Ramakrishna confronts her father and in the ensueing struggle Priya takes the bullet shot at her husband and dies. Their son, because of the shock, loses his voice and Ramakrishna is jailed. Mahendra takes the boy away to Kolkata, where the story originally started. Rama Krishna with the help of Padmavathi (Soundarya) reunites with his son.

Anandrao feels jealous about Ramaiah. Chalapathi (Ramana Reddy) and Pitchaiah (Chadalavada) adds to his jealousy. He insults Ramaiah and stops the donation program running on the name of Zamindar. Satyam as unemployed joins as a Bus conductor and Ramaiah dies of helplessness. Anandrao purchases the Bus and dismisses Satyam from the job.
A sincere police officer Ramu (N. T. Rama Rao) and Vijaya (Sridevi) are in love. Vijaya's father Dharmaraju (Rao Gopala Rao) is a corrupt politician who fakes the good gentleman image outside. He, along with two more guys named Satya Murthy (Satyanarayana) and Nyayapathi (Allu Ramalingaiah) exploited the poor by joining hands with the British. When Dharmaraju meets Ramu with his daughter, he immediately goes back to his past. Dharmaraju, Satya Murthy and Nyayapathi kill a king, Vijayaraghavaraju (Prabhakar Reddy) in the Andaman islands and throw the crime over a sincere gentleman and a great freedom fighter, Sardar Paparayudu. Sardar Paparayudu gets a life sentence. The reason why Dharmaraju is shocked seeing Ramu is that the latter exactly resembles Sardar Paparayudu in facial features. In fact, Ramu is the son of Sardar Paparayudu. Ramu's mother Seeta (Sharada) is the wife of Sardar Paparayudu.
