They find it very difficult to win over the girls here because of their typical British attitude. Mumbai-based model and aspiring actress, Ria (Mahima Chaudhary), meets with stuntman, Dev (Dino Morea), and both fall in love. Shortly thereafter, she gets an offer to act as a lead actress with renowned film-maker, Muni Gandhi, and accordingly re-locates to Shimla to start the filming. Enroute, she excitedly telephones Dev and tells him of the scenic surroundings as well as the echo of bells in a tunnel that emanate from a Hanumanji Mandir. Several days later, when he does not hear from her, he decides to travel there. But before he could do so, he does get her telephone call in which she sounds distressed and asks him to help her. When he asks about her location, she is unable to provide any, and the phone gets disconnected. The question that haunts Dev is: Where is Ria, and how is he going to assist her when he does not even know her location?

Urmi, a newly married young bride is left behind in the village with her in-laws, while her husband Arvind goes off to a job in the big city. When the relationship comes out in the open, Urmi has to deal with not only the family's accusations but also her lover's cowardice. Declared guilty by the local village court, Urmi demands justice from a court made of all the village heads, where her husband's neglect and her lover's cowardice are revealed.
The focus of the series was college life. Flirtation, romance, the campus, teachers getting teased - all typical scenes from college– were shown. Hence many youngsters, school and college going students, became avid viewers of the show. The transition from college to professional life was shown for most of the characters. Simultaneously, contemporary business life was also showcased. How the rich oppress the poor, and how housewives and working women have different perspectives of life, formed some of the other themes of the narrative.
