For decades Ismail (Zeki Alasya) and his brother Miran (Altan Erkekli) operated shops in a modest marketplace, managing to support their families with the profits. Ali (Tolgahan Sayisman), Ismail's playboy son, plans to woo Gözde (Bergüzar Korel). Soon, however, Ali begins to genuinely fall in love with her, and the feeling is mutual. Unfortunately he has told his sweetheart a stack of lies to win her affection and is certain she would run away upon his confession. Somehow, he must either make a clean break from this magnificent woman or win her heart through honesty.
Sehrazat, a young widow who is financially unable to treat her terminally ill young son, is forced to address to her charming boss, asking for help. The proposal by her boss changes her life forever.
The movie opens with a fictionalized depiction of a real-life incident: the arrest on July 4, 2003 of 11 Turkish special forces soldiers and 13 civilians by U.S. forces of the 173rd Airborne commanded by Colonel William C. Mayville in the northern Iraqi Kurdish town of Sulaymaniyah. The Turkish soldiers suppose that this is an ordinary visit from their NATO allies. But this time is different.
