For close to a decade, professional wrestling fans loved Clash of the Champions, a series of supercards that aired on TBS, featuring the biggest stars of first NWA and the WCW. Over the course of 35 events from 1988 through 1997, fans were treated to championship contests, grudge matches, and spectacular moments. Many of these matches have never been released on home video until now. Royal Rumble (2011) was the twenty-fourth annual Royal Rumble PPV. It took place on January 30, 2011 at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. As has been customary since 1993, the Royal Rumble match winner received a match at that year's WrestleMania for his choice at either the WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship. The main event was the annual Royal Rumble match featuring 40 participants from both brands, instead of the usual number of 30. SummerSlam (2007) was the twentieth annual SummerSlam PPV. It was presented by THQ's Stuntman Ignition. It took place on August 26, 2007 at the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey and featured talent from each of WWE's three brands: Raw, SmackDown, and ECW. The main feud, heading into the event from the Raw brand was between John Cena and Randy Orton. From SmackDown, the predominant feud was between The Great Khali and Batista. After Khali defeated Batista and Kane in a Triple Threat match, a match between three wrestlers contested under standard rules, Theodore Long booked Khali to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Batista at SummerSlam. The primary feud from ECW was between John Morrison and CM Punk. By defeating Morrison in a 15 Minutes of Fame match, Punk became the number one contender to the ECW Championship at SummerSlam.

The main event was an interpromotional tag team match between Batista and The Undertaker (from SmackDown!) and John Cena and Shawn Michaels (from Raw). The main match on the undercard was an interpromotional Six-man tag team match between the team of Chris Benoit and The Hardys (Matt and Jeff) and the team of MNM (Joey Mercury and Johnny Nitro) and Montel Vontavious Porter.

Vengeance: Night of Champions was the seventh annual PPV within its Vengeance/Night of Champions chronology. It featured talent from the Raw, SmackDown, and ECW brands. The event was presented by RAW Attitude Energy Drink and took place on June 24, 2007 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. This event was notable for being on the weekend of the Chris Benoit double murder and suicide case. The event starred wrestlers from the SmackDown! brand. The main event was a tag team match, in which the team of Batista and John Cena took on the team of King Booker and Finlay. Cyber Sunday (2006) was the first annual Cyber Sunday PPV. It took place on November 5, 2006 at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio replacing Taboo Tuesday. This event had the unique feature of being interactive. Fans could vote for selective characteristics in the scheduled matches, including opponents, stipulations, match types, etc. The voting for the event started on October 16, 2006, and ended during the event. The main event was the "Champion of Champions" match, between WWE's three top champions. The three champions in the match were WWE Champion John Cena, World Heavyweight Champion King Booker, and ECW World Champion The Big Show. The fans could vote for who would defend their championship in this match. The predominant match on the card was D-Generation X versus Rated-RKO. The featured matches on the undercard were Jeff Hardy versus Carlito for the WWE Intercontinental Championship and Lita versus Mickie James in a Diva Lumberjack match for the WWE Women's Championship.

The Great American Bash (2005) was a professional wrestling PPV that took place on July 24, 2005, at the HSBC Arena in Buffalo, New York. The event featured wrestlers and other talent that performed on the SmackDown! program. The main event was Batista defending the World Heavyweight Championship against John "Bradshaw" Layfield (JBL). One of the featured matches on the undercard was Rey Mysterio versus Eddie Guerrero while the other was Orlando Jordan versus Chris Benoit for the WWE United States Championship. WWE Velocity was a professional wrestling television program produced by World Wrestling Entertainment. It replaced two syndicated WWE shows, Jakked/Metal. Once a weekly Saturday night show on Spike TV and on Sky Sports 2 in the UK on Sunday mornings, Velocity became a webcast from 2005 to 2006. The newest episode would be uploaded to WWE.com on Saturdays and be available for the next week. Older webcast episodes were also archived. The WWF Intercontinental/WCW U.S. Title had Edge vs. Test, the WWF/WCW Tag Team Titles were unified in a Steel Cage match with The Dudley Boyz vs. The Hardy Boyz, the WWF European Title was defended by Christian vs. Al Snow, and there was an "Immunity Battle Royal" to get protection from being fired by which-ever brand came out on top.

Greed was the final PPV event from World Championship Wrestling (replacing the promotion's March PPV event Uncensored which was held from 1995 to 2000). It took place on March 18, 2001 from the Jacksonville Memorial Coliseum in Jacksonville, Florida. The PPV event took place eight days before the final episode of Monday Nitro. Jarrett, who was scheduled to wrestle Chris Benoit in a Triple Threat Theater series (Dungeon Rules, Bunkhouse, Caged Heat), suffered lingering headaches from Benoit's diving headbutt off the top of the steel cage on the January 10 episode of WCW Monday Nitro, which forced him to vacate the WCW United States Heavyweight title. Benoit was instead moved to take Hart's place against Vicious and the Triple Threat Theater series was contested between Billy Kidman and three separate wrestlers.

Spring Stampede 1997 took place on April 6, 1997 from the Tupelo Coliseum in Tupelo, Mississippi. The main event was a No DQ match between Randy Savage and Diamond Dallas Page as well as a Number One Contender 4 Corners match was held between The Giant, Lex Luger, Booker T & Stevie Ray. A WCW World Tag Team Championship match was held btween Kevin Nash & Rick Steiner. Scott Hall no showed the event and Scott Steiner was "arrested" earlier in the evening. Other matches included Chris Benoit challenging Dean Malenko for his WCW United States Championship, Public Enemy versus Steve McMichael & Jeff Jarrett, Prince Iaukea defending the WCW World Television Championship against Lord Steven Regal, Akira Hokuto defending the WCW Women's Championship against Madusa, and Ultimo Dragon versus Rey Mysterio, Jr.

Uncensored 1997 took place on March 16, 1997 from the North Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, South Carolina. The concept of Uncensored was that each match on the card was ostensibly unsanctioned, meaning they were not subject to the normal rules of WCW-sanctioned wrestling matches. The main event was Team nWo (Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Hollywood Hogan & Randy Savage) versus Team Piper (Roddy Piper, Chris Benoit, Steve McMichael & Jeff Jarrett) versus Team WCW (Lec Luger, The Giant & Scott Steiner) in a Triangle Elimination Match. Also at the event, Prince Iaukea defended the WCW World Televsion Championship against Rey Mysterio, Jr. (again), Public Enemy wrestled Harlem Heat in a Texas Tornado match, Buff Bagwell faced Scotty Rigs in a Strap match, Glacier fought Mortis, Psychosis was matched against Ultimo Dragon, and Eddie Gurrero defended the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Dean Malenko.

The Great American Bash (1997) took place on June 15, 1997 at The MARK of the Quad Cities in Moline, Illinois. The main event was Randy Savage versus Diamond Dallas Page in a Falls Count Anywhere match. The second main event was for the WCW World Tag Team Championships with The Outsiders defending against Ric Flair & Roddy Piper. Also at this event was a rematch between Kevin Greene and Steve McMichael of the NFL. The under card included Chris Benoit vs Meng in a Death match (also a rematch), Akira Hokuto vs Madusa (yet another rematch), Glacier vs Wrath, Konnan vs Hugh Morrus, Harlem heat vs The Steiner Brothers, and Psychosis vs Ultimate Dragon.

Hog Wild took place on August 10, 1996 from the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota. The VHS cover featured Hulk Hogan in his Hulkster pose despite the fact that he, along with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, formed the nWo one month prior and began being billed as Hollywood. The first eight matches aired on WCW Saturday Night on TBS. This event happened on a Saturday, instead of the normal Sunday night. The main event was Hollywood Hogan defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against The Giant. Also notable was a match between The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) versus Sting & Lex Luger. Ric Flair defended the WCW United States Championship against Eddie Guerrero while Harlem Heat defended the WCW World tag Team Championships against The Steiner Brothers. The under card featured Chris Benoit vs Dean Malenko, Bull Nakano vs Madusa, Ice Train versus Scott Norton, and Rey Myserio, Jr. defending the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against The Ultimate Dragon.

Slamboree 1996 took place on May 19, 1996 from the Riverside Centroplex in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Every non-title match was a Lethal Lottery match with wrestlers being randomly paired together, and the winning teams would advance to the Battlebowl battle royal. The title matches included The Giant defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Sting, Konnan defending the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Jushin Liger, and Dean Malenko defending the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Brad Armstrong.

Uncensored 1996 took place on March 24, 1996 from the Tupelo Coliseum in Tupelo, Mississippi. The idea behind this event is that each match is unsanctioned, with a heavy emphasis on gimmick matches. The main event was The Mega Powers (Hulk Hogan & Randy Savage) versus The Alliance to End Hulkamania (an 8 man team that included Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Meng, The Barbarian, Lex Luger, The Taskmaster, Z-Gangsta, and The Ultimate Solution) in a Doomsday Cage match. Other matches included A Chicago Street fight was held between Sting & Booker T versus The Road Warriors, The Giant vs Loch Ness, The Booty Man vs Diamond Dallas Page, and 3 other matches.

Halloween Havoc 1996 took place on October 27, 1996 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hollywood Hogan defended the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Savage in the main event. Also at the event, Harlem Heat defended the WCW World Tag Team Championships against The Outsiders, Steve McMichael and Chris Benoit fought The Faces of Fear (Meng and The Barbarian), Arn Anderson wrestled Lex Luger, Chris Jericho faced Syxx, and The Giant competed against Jeff Jarrett. The under card included Eddie Guerrero vs Diamond Dallas Page and Rey Mysterio, Jr. defending the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Dean Malenko.

SuperBrawl VI took place on February 11, 1996 from the Bayfront Arena in St. Petersburg, Florida. This event marked Brian Pillman's final match in WCW; in his "I Respect You" Strap Match against The Taskmaster, Pillman shouted "I respect you, bookerman!," breaking kayfabe, before leaving the ring. The main event was a Steel Cage match between Hulk Hogan and The Giant with a secondary main event of Randy Savage defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in a Steel Cage against Ric Flair. The WCW World Tag Team Championship was defended twice that evening, with the champions going into the event being Sting and Lex Luger.

World War 3 1996 took place on November 24, 1996 from the Norfolk Scope in Norfolk, Virginia. The main event was the WCW World War 3 match, which put 60 men in a 3 ring battle royal. A second main event included a Triple Threat Tag Team match for the WCW World Tag Team Championships with The Outsiders defending against Faces of Fear & The Nasty Boys.

Fall Brawl 1995: War Games took place on September 17, 1995 from the Asheville Civic Center in Asheville, North Carolina. The main event featured the team of The Hulkamaniacs (Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Lex Luger, and Sting) versus The Dungeon of Doom (Kamala, The Zodiac, The Shark, and Meng) in a WarGames match. Other primary matches included Ric Flair vs Arn Anderson, Bunkhouse Buck & Dick Slater defending the WCW World Tag team Championships against Harlem Heat, The Renegade defending the WCW World Television Championship against Diamond Dallas Page, Cobra vs Sgt. Craig Pittman, and Johnny B. Badd vs Brian Pillman for number one contendership for the WCW US Championship.

The Great American Bash (1995) took place on June 18, 1995 at the Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio. The main event was Randy Savage versus Ric Flair in a singles match. Title matches included A singles match for the vacant WCW United States Championship between Sting and Meng, The Nasty Boys defending the WCW World Tag Team Championships against The Blue Bloods, and Arn Anderson defending the WCW World Television Championship against the Renegade. The under card was composed of Jim Duggan vs Sgt. Craig Pittman, Dave Sullivan (with his pet rabbit, Ralph) vs Diamond Dallas Page in an Arm Wrestling contest, and Brian Pillman vs Alex Wright.

Uncensored 1995 took place on March 19, 1995 from the Tupelo Coliseum in Tupelo, Mississippi. The gimmick behind this PPV was that the WCW Board of Directors were un-involved, thus, each match on the card was ostensibly unsanctioned, meaning they were not subject to the normal rules of WCW-sanctioned wrestling matches. Since the matches were unsanctioned, no titles were officially on the line at this event. The main event was a Leather Strap match between Hulk Hogan and Big Van Vader. A Falls Count Anywhere Texas Tornado Tag Team match took place between Harlem Heat and The Nasty Boys. Other bouts included Sting vs Big Bubba Rogers, Avalanche vs Macho Man Randy Savage, Johnny B. Badd vs Arn Anderson in a Boxer vs Wrestler match, and a King of the Road match (held in the back of a moving truck) between Dustin Rhodes and The Blacktop Bully.

Slamboree 1995 took place on May 21, 1995 from the Bayfront Arena in St. Petersburg, Florida. The WCW Hall of Fame inductions for this year were Wahoo McDaniel, Angelo Poffo (Randy Savage's father), Terry Funk, Antonio Inoki, Dusty Rhodes, Gordon Solie, and Big John Studd. The main event was Hulk Hogan & Randy Savage versus Ric Flair & Vader. Also on the card was Sting vs Big Bubba Rogers in a Lights Out match, Meng vs Road Warrior Hawk, Arn Anderson defending the WCW World TV Championship against Alex Wright, The Great Muta defending the IWGP Heavyweight Championship against Paul Orndorff, Wahoo McDaniel vs Dick Murdoch, Kevin Sullivan vs The Man With No Name, and Harlem Heat defending the WCW World Tag Team Championships against The Nasty Boys.

SuperBrawl V took place on February 19, 1995 from the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. The main event was Hulk Hogan defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Vader. Another highly promoted match included Sting and Randy Savage wrestling the team of Avalanche and Big Bubba Rogers. Undercard matches included The Blacktop Bully vs Dustin Rhodes, Harlem Heat defending the WCW World Tag team Championships against The Nasty Boys, Kevin Sullivan vs Dave Sullivan, Jim Duggan vs Bunkhouse Buck, and Alex Wright vs Paul Roma.

Bash at the Beach 1995 took place on July 16, 1995 on the beach in Huntington Beach, California. To promote the event, Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Ric Flair, Big Van Vader and Kevin Sullivan guest starred on season 6 episode 15 of Baywatch, also titled "Bash at the Beach". The main event was a Steel Cage match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship with Hulk Hogan defending against Vader. Ric Flair wrestled "Macho Man" Randy Savage in a Lifeguard match, a Triangle Tag Team match for the WCW World Tag Team Titles took place between Harlem Heat, The Nasty Boys, and the Blue Bloods, Sting defended the WCW United States Championship against Meng, The Renegade defended the WCW World Television Championship against Paul Orndorff, Jim Duggan faced off against Kamala, and Diamond Dallas Page continued his feud against Dave Sullivan.

World War 3 was an annual PPV event produced by WCW. The PPV's title also was the name of its signature match, a three-ring, sixty-man battle royal. The inaugural World War 3 match was contested for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, which had been stripped from The Giant due to the outcome of his match with Hulk Hogan at Halloween Havoc '95. Other matches included Ric Flair vs Sting, Lex Luger vs Randy Savage, Kensuke Sasaki defending the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Chris Benoit, Big Bubba Rogers vs Jim Duggan, and Johnny B. Badd defending he WCW World TV Championship against Diamond Dallas Page. WCW released the World War 3 events on home video the following year, with the packaging for the first three releases reflecting the year that the video was released and not the year that the actual event took place, e.g. World War 3 1995 was released on VHS as World War 3 '96.

SuperBrawl IV took place on February 20, 1994 from the Albany Civic Center in Albany, Georgia. This event, along with SuperBrawl Revenge, was one of only two SuperBrawls never released on home video. The main event was Ric Flair defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in a rematch match against Vader. The second main event was a Thundercage match between the team of Steve Austin, Rick Rude, and Paul Orndorff against the team of Sting, Brian Pillman, and Dustin Rhodes. The Nasty Boys defended the WCW World Tag Team Championships against Cactus Jack & Maxx Payne and Lord Steven Regal defended the WCW World TV Championship against Arn Anderson. Undercard matches included Johnny B. Badd vs Jimmy Garvin, Terry Taylor vs Diamond Dallas Page, Jim Steele vs The Equalizer, and Harlem Heat vs Thunder & Lightning.

Starrcade '94: Triple Threat took place on December 27, 1994 from the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. The main event featured Hulk Hogan defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against The Butcher in a singles match. Other matches included Sting vs Avalanche, Kevin Sullivan vs Mr. T, Harlem Heat vs The Nasty Boys, Johnny B. Badd defending the WCW World Television Championship against Arn Anderson, Alex Wright vs Jean-Paul Levesque, and Jim Duggan defending the WCW United States Championship against Vader.

Fall Brawl 1993: War Games took place on September 19, 1993 from the Astro Arena in Houston, Texas. The main event was a WarGames match featuring the team of Sting, Davey Boy Smith, Dustin Rhodes, and The Shockmaster versus Sid Vicious, Vader, and Harlem Heat (Kole & Kane). The WCW International World Heavyweight Championship was defended by Ric Flair against Rick Rude while the WCW World Tag Team Championships were defended by Arn Anderson & Paul Roma against The Nasty Boys. Other matches included Yoshi Kwan vs Cactus Jack, Shanghai Pierce vs Ice Train, 2 Cold Scorpio & Marcus Bagwell against The Equalizer and Paul Orndorff, and Rick Steamboat defending the WCW TV Championship against Lord Steven Regal.

WCW Saturday Night was a weekly Saturday night TV show on TBS produced by World Championship Wrestling. The program existed through various incarnations under different names before becoming WCW Saturday Night in 1992. Although initially the anchor show of the Ted Turner-backed wrestling company, the September 1995 premiere of WCW Monday Nitro airing on sister station Turner Network Television usurped the show's once preeminent position in the company, as the primary source of storyline development and Pay-Per-View buildup. The show's place in the company was further devalued by the advent of WCW Thunder in 1998, airing on TBS and providing the secondary wrestling and storyline development that WCW Saturday Night had produced in the wake of Nitro's burgeoning three-hour long format. Once the cornerstone of the WCW wrestling empire, WCW Saturday Night ended its run in 2000 as the company struggled creatively to meet the demands of producing over six hours of new broadcast material on a weekly basis. The rights to WCW Saturday Night now belong to WWE as a result of that company's 2001 purchase of WCW.
