Underworld godfather Kim, nicknamed Egg Tart, is friendly and sociable. He likes singing more than being the leader of triads. With his principle of peace, harmony and stability, he has won the support of the gang elders. Meanwhile, the cool and handsome Lung becomes a gangster because he is attracted to the cool image of gangsters portrayed in the "Young and Dangerous" movies, and he believes that he has what it takes to be the big boss. To support Lung, his wife sets a trap by trying to seduce Kim in order to obtain the secret of becoming the godfather.

A poet named Butterfly and her friend Kuen visit a stranger's mansion to return some possessions that were unintentionally taken. At the house, they stumbled upon an illegal weapons trade that ultimately went bad. To evade the police from interrogations, the two innocent witnesses wiped away their fingerprints and left a note that stated that the crimes were committed by "The Black Rose," who is known to be a fictional hero in a 1965 movie. However, a recovered fingerprint caused Kuen to be the prime suspect, and the apprentices of the Black Rose, apparently a real hero whose legacy was portrayed in the 1965 movie, attempt to seek the truth in the matter by confronting Butterfly.

Meanwhile, Big Tiger's old flame Mary (Anita Mui) returns from America to join the revolutionaries. Big Tiger soon finds himself torn between his love of this girl and his orders to arrest all revolutionaries.

Sam Hui plays Wisely in this big budget HK movie, with production units filming some scenes by the Great Pyramids, and many scenes in Nepal. There are car chases and crashes, chases by horsemen and plenty of fights along the way. The Legend of Wisely is a live action comic book. A lot of effort went into making this movie, and it shows as Wisely goes from one hazard to another, a HK version of Indiana Jones.

Two owners of a gambling club in London’s Chinatown are killed by an unknown killer. Edward (Lam), a policeman of heads the investigation. He arrives in Hong Kong to enlist the help of a prison convict, FM (Teddy Robin), who is a former friend of the two dead men. On their return to London, FM is hunting down by the killer. FM manages to take refuge in the home of a blind girl, Amy (Chung Chor Hung). FM and Edward suspect Robert, a junior partner in the gambling club, as the brains behind the killings. They follow Robert who carries pei-pa to a strip-tease club. In the ensuing fight inside the punk livotheque, Robert is killed, but not before FM has managed to snatch away the pei-pa box which is full of money. FM runs away with the money to Amy’s home. Amy helps FM in his struggle with the killer. Edward arrives at the last moment but the killer escapes to an underground station where he is eventually killed......
