Coslada, near Madrid, Spain, October 2015. Hundreds of extras are trapped in a huge stage where they pretend with hysterical joy that they are celebrating a party that will be broadcast on television on New Year's Eve. But more than a week later, the clash between several staff members threatens to prolong indefinitely such a maddening nightmare.
After an eviction notice, a mother teaches her three children, that even in adversity, they must always look forward. She starts up a restaurant business, but it does not work. Then Magdalena has another idea: to make a film.
A couple with a newborn child arrives at a big old house, the ideal place to start a real family life. Before going to bed, the couple checks the operation of the listening device installed in their baby's room, whom they can listen to and watch. They soon discover that there is someone else in the house who sits next to the baby's crib every night.
