Qiu Yuan once dreamed of working in heritage conservation, but she had no opportunity to dip her toes into the industry until she meets Qin Zhi Yuan who is the owner of Yuxinzhai. Yuan and Zhi Yuan became acquainted by chance. Zhi Yuan is a legend in the world of conservators. He manages to use Yuan's "rubber board" technology to resolve the crisis at Yuxinzhai but also puts her in danger. They wouldn't have become friends otherwise and from then on, Yuan kickstarts her career in the preservation of cultural heritage with Zhi Yuan as her teacher. Just as Yuan and Zhi Yuan develop feelings for each other, Zuo Huai Ren whom Yuan has crushed for years suddenly returns to China.

An unknown terrorist group is behind a series of crimes in Hong Kong, China, putting the safety of the city and its citizens on the line. A special task force, A-Team, is formed under Lok Ka-sing, the captain of the Flying Tiger, with selected elite members from the police force: Head of operations Eddie Wong Kwok-tung, head of investigations Cheung Man-lung, heads of intelligence Ting Ho-yin and Mo Yat-man, and head of forensics Yiu Ka-lam.

A gangster’s son is accidentally killed during a drunken dispute with a rival gang, and Officer Milo (Alex Fong)’s task force is assigned to the case. He soon learns that a hitman has been hired to take out the rival gang leader. Miriam Yeung plays a half-Chinese who represents her father (a Shaolin monk who defected to Japan after falling in love with a Japanese) at a martial arts tournament. What she really wants is to experience first love (with Ekin Cheng, a marketing executive) and become a movie star. Both which are fulfilled in her stay in Hong Kong.

Cherie Chung is a woman reporter working for Hong Kong TV station who is trying to expose the corrupt practice of the company Kenny works at. By chance they get together by being shoved into the same taxi while they're totally drunk. They again meet while grocery shopping, but they get robbed and Kenny can't go back to his home without money for the ferry. This starts a relationship between them, and from conscience, Kenny decides to expose the corruption within his company. Vivian Chow plays a secondary role as semi love triangle between Cherie and Kenny.
