When a group of college students finds a mysterious book and recording in the old wilderness cabin they've rented for the weekend, they unwittingly unleash a demonic force from the surrounding forest.
The film tells the story of a family whose uncle is murdered. The son (Sam Raimi) gets everything because he's in the will. The detective (Scott Spiegel) is trying to find out who murdered the uncle, while trying to avoid ending up dead as well.
