This movie is set in the Karoo town of Loxton. A young mother and daughter and is shocked to discover that the local school will shortly be closing due to financial difficulty. The townsfolk need to raise half a million Rand. They decides to hold a music concert to raise the money, and sets about recruiting artists to help. However her reclusive neighbour whom she has had a tiff with turns out to have a few surprises ... which may or may not help her greatly...

Niek and Joe share a history and a secret from their time together in the Angola War in the late 80s. Today, Niek and Joe work for TJ Mokoena, but when Joe discovers the ugly underbelly of Mokoena's business, things start going horribly wrong for the down-and-out divorcee. To complicate matters, his stripper girlfriend Peggy is getting tired of him milking her for money. Niek is Joe's only hope, but he too is still battling demons from his time in the war. His sister Bienkie arrives home with marital problems and it seems everyone is worse for wear since the end of the series.

This leads to an all-out war between vampires; those who are against the serum and those who would use it to leave the shadows of night, including vicious upstart vampire Borlak (David James) who will stop at nothing to obtain it. Billy and police detective Joe Kau must now work together to protect Jenny and her family, and to keep this discovery from those who would use it against all of humanity
