The 2020 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as 2020 UEFA European Championship, UEFA Euro 2020, or simply Euro 2020, is the 16th UEFA European Championship. The tournament was originally scheduled from 12 June to 12 July 2020. The tournament was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe and rescheduled for 11 June to 11 July 2021. The tournament retains the name "UEFA Euro 2020". UEFA President Michel Platini said in 2012 that the tournament was to be hosted in several nations as a "romantic" one-off event to celebrate the 60th "birthday" of the European Championship competition. Having the largest capacity of any of the stadiums entered for the competition, Wembley Stadium in London is scheduled to host the semi-finals and final for the second time, having done so before at the 1996 tournament in the stadium's former incarnation. The Stadio Olimpico in Rome was chosen to host the opening game, involving Turkey and hosts Italy.

France's top scorer in the Champions League, Karim Benzema has 81 caps in the French national team, but has not been called to France since 8 October 2015. "The newly crowned Champions of England are the new Champions of Europe, 2008 is another Manchester United vintage year. Wembley, Barcelona, Moscow, Manchester United three times European Champions". Extra time, injury time, penalties. Whenever United win the biggest prize of all, it’s always a dramatic, intense affair. At well past midnight in Moscow, the big hands of Edwin van der Sar pushed away Nicolas Anelka’s penalty and the Reds were once again crowned the Kings of Europe. And how the Red Army roared as Ryan and Rio raised the giant trophy aloft again. "It’s double top for the red arrows, too good for Chelsea…and the rest in the quest to become European champions".

This is the official review of the UEFA 2004 European Championships and what a tournament it has been. From the very first game there was high drama with the hosts suffering a surprise defeat to Greece. In Group B England looked to have defeated the French until the final minutes when the magic feet of Zidane scored not once but twice. Group C went down to the wire, Sweden and Denmark needed to draw 2-2 for both teams to make the Quarter Finals and put Italy out of the competition. It couldn't possibly happen... but it did. Group D was expected to be hotly contested and it produced arguably the best game of the tournament when the Czech Republic came back from two goals down to defeat the Dutch 3-2.

The 2006 FIFA World Cup™, hosted by Germany, had everything. Great football, wonderful fans, a home team inspired, drama, controversy and a dramatic finish.
