This is one of the animated shorts we made for Acceptable TV that never made it to air. What a shame. I have a feeling it would have been a REAL SIDE SPLITTER! This was me doing another “House of Cosbys” type thing, only within the boundaries of what a legal team working for a cable network deemed acceptable. I intend to credit everyone involved on this as soon as I have some down time. Maybe my kind and hard working assistant JD can do the legwork. Did you work on this? Want to see your name in lights? Since the 2005 cancellations of Laserfart and MESI Dan Harmon has lingered in the background of Channel 101, sneaking into various hit shows while working on "real" television for VH-1. Before 2006 was complete, Harmon delivered this poignant gem to October audiences and strolled back into prime time. Exposure tells the story of Dylan Carter, a struggling creative drawn to the power of Channel 101, who must overcome his own limitations and cope with rejection. On the show's similarities to Channel 101: The Musical, Harmon writes: "It's Last Temptation of Christ to Makiaris' Jesus Christ: Superstar."

Yacht Rock was an online video series following the fictionalized lives and careers of American soft rock stars of the late 1970s and early 1980s. The series debuted on Channel 101 at the June 26, 2005 screening. It placed in the top five at subsequent screenings until the June 25, 2006 screening, where it placed seventh and was canceled. The show remained a popular download on Channel 101, convincing the creators to make two additional episodes independently. The 11th episode, featuring Jason Lee as Kevin Bacon, debuted during a screening at the Knitting Factory in New York City on December 27, 2007 and was later included with the other episodes on Channel 101. On May 5, 2010, the 12th and final episode of Yacht Rock was released onto YouTube and Channel 101.

A marijuana induced experiment that generated more data than ever expected, MESI was a show that taught us all a lot of lessons, none of which may ever be agreed upon. Rejected by the prime time panel, it was the only show to ever enter the screening via the short-lived "wildcard" system, then went on to garner more votes by acquiring the beloved Sarah Silverman and heroically committing to its anti-production value. After entertaining many, irritating many and confusing many more, MESI was put to an appropriate death in the bloody Halloween screening of 2005.

Laser Fart began as a joke submission during a light month in 2004. Creator Dan Harmon was able to keep it alive with a Jack Black cameo in episode 2. On the third episode, Harmon teamed up with samurai lensman David Hartman and Channel 101 history was made. Laser Fart delighted audiences with its ironically epic feel and came breathtakingly close to breaking The 'Bu's record for longest running show. Then, in July of 2005, a weary Harmon wrote a ridiculous, slapdash script and the always hungry audience moved down the buffet, never looking back. This coincided with the "takeover" of 101 at the hands of a new generation of leaner, meaner (well, nicer), post-ironic underdogs like J.D. Ryznar, Ryan Ridley, Justin Roiland and the once-cursed Valley Pals. Laser Fart stands as a 101 legend and a cautionary tale: No artist has immunity, no show has true momentum. We can all go at any time.
