Six college grads jump into an RV and head into the Idaho mountains, they have no idea that it's going to be the last vacation of their lives. Warned about the legendary Wolf People with some nasty canine tendencies, the students simply brush off the warnings.
After a terrible air disaster, survivor Max Klein emerges a changed person. Unable to connect to his former life or to wife Laura, he feels godlike and invulnerable. When psychologist Bill Perlman is unable to help Max, he has Max meet another survivor, Carla Rodrigo, who is racked with grief and guilt since her baby died in the crash which she and Max survived.
An elderly woman in New York City has a group of dinner guests over to her apartment one evening, and describes the difficulties of her life and her family relationships.
