The Later Years is a box set by British rock band Pink Floyd released on 13 December 2019 by Pink Floyd Records. It follows the 2016 boxset The Early Years 1965–1972, and compiles Pink Floyd's work under the leadership of David Gilmour after the departure of founding member Roger Waters.

Restored and re-edited, this show took place on October 20, 1994 at London’s famed Earls Court in support of the 1994 Pink Floyd album The Division Bell. The landmark 14-night Earls Court run contained the last performances on Pink Floyd’s final tour. The concert features a complete performance of The Dark Side Of The Moon as well as Division Bell tracks “Keep Talking” and “High Hopes,” songs Gilmour co-wrote with his wife and novelist Polly Samson. The show’s encore included the band’s tribute to Syd Barrett, “Wish You Were Here,” and “Comfortably Numb,” which contains one of the greatest and most iconic guitar solos of all time from Gilmour.

This show was filmed for the famous German TV series Rockpalast in MIDEM in Cannes on 29th January 1986. Pete Townshend's Deep End were touring in support of Townshend's solo concept album "White City: A Novel". Several of the musicians that appeared on the album were featured in the line-up of the Deep End including Pink Floyd's David Gilmour on lead guitar. The set list has tracks from the "White City" album, other Pete Townshend solo tracks, Who classics, David Gilmour's song "Blue Light" and a couple of surprises. Pete Townshend and the band deliver an outstanding performance that showcases him as a solo artist as distinct from his work with The Who.

David Gilmour, guitarist and singer of the legendary cult band Pink Floyd, will play a three-hour concert on the open-air stage at Stuttgart's Schlossplatz as part of the jazzopen on July 14, 2016. In June 2015, the artist started a world tour "Rattle That Lock" across the five continents, which will also bring him to Germany in the summer of 2016. Gilmour will give the only festival concert in Germany at the jazzopen. The world star will play two sets on Stuttgart's Schlossplatz: a cross-section of the music from his solo albums and a journey through the oeuvre of Pink Floyd.

"Rattle That Lock" is David Gilmour’s fourth solo album and follows his 2006 No 1 On An Island. Primary lyricist is Gilmour’s long-term writing partner, Polly Samson, and it is co-produced by David Gilmour and Roxy Music’s Phil Manzanera. This 2-Disc box set includes CD, Blu-ray with bonus 14 audio-visual items (four video tracks, four audio tracks, two promo films and four documentaries), album in Surround Sound and memorabilia including poster, postcard, plectrum and 32-page hardback lyric/photo book including artist photographs by Kevin Westenberg and album session photographs by Polly Samson.

Filmed in Ukraine during the first week of April 2014, the video was directed by Aubrey Powell at Hipgnosis.

The Endless River is the fifteenth studio album by British progressive rock band Pink Floyd. The Endless River has as its starting point the music that came from the 1993 Division Bell sessions, when David Gilmour, Rick Wright and Nick Mason played freely together at Britannia Row and Astoria studios. This was the first time they had done so since the ‘Wish You Were Here’ sessions in the seventies. Those sessions resulted in The Division Bell, the band’s last studio album.

The Dark Side of the Moon is the eighth studio album by the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd, released on 1 March 1973. It built on ideas explored in the band's earlier recordings and live shows, but lacks the extended instrumental excursions that characterised their work following the departure in 1968 of founder member, principal composer, and lyricist, Syd Barrett. The Dark Side of the Moon explores themes including conflict, greed, the passage of time, and mental illness, the latter partly inspired by Barrett's deteriorating mental state. The Dark Side of The Moon became Pink Floyd’s first number 1 album in the US, remaining on the chart for 741 weeks between 1973 and 1988. This is the independent film history of Pink Floyd. The controversial twists and turns of the Floyd story is told in a unique series of interviews featuring Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Nick Mason and the late Richard Wright. Features highlights from the first season of the Channel 4 show LIVE FROM ABBEY ROAD, which saw various musical artists perform live at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. The show took the artists into the hallowed studios, and with the only audience being the TV cameras and technicians, they recorded a selection of songs later broadcast in the twelve hour-long episodes. Augmented with interviews, the shows cut through the normal visual effects and studio trickery to showcase the music itself. One editor, working alone for six months, was able to create this ‘behind-the-scenes’ documentary. The staging of this concert has been referred to as, “…possibly twice the size of any other show done in rock & roll thus far.” (meaning 1980) Perhaps more significant. this performance would be the last for the band with all the original members who recorded the album. Conceived by the French director Adrian Maben as "an anti-Woodstock film," Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii was shot in October 1971 in the ancient city's vacant, 2,000-year-old amphitheater - a venue chosen to accentuate the grandeur and spaciousness of the band's Meddle-era music. Maben's cut goes to great lengths to lend the film a more contemporary feel, but it's the earlier version that makes this disc such a gem, being more focused on the music and more holistic in vision.
