Headstrong girl Kenza lives with her father Ouira and grandfather Weljo on a car wrecking yard in the countryside of Curaçao. The two men are opposites that don't particularly attract: Ouira is a determined and rational police officer, while Weljo identifies with the original inhabitants and spirituality of the island. As Weljo wishes to prepare his passing to the world of spirits, the relationship between Ouira en Weljo starts to escalate and the eleven-year-old Kenza searches for her own path in-between the two extremes. The down-to-earth and avoidant mentality of Ouira no longer offers her all that she needs and slowly she opens up to the more mystical and comforting traditions of her grandfather.

When Gerben Kooistra, a liberal from the north of Holland, is appointed as the new mayor of a small southern village he starts a battle against a big local criminal called ‘Grandpa’ Toontje. Gerben's mission is harder then he anticipated. Crime is everywhere in this seemingly innocent small town and his political mission slowly turns into a dangerous obsession.

A young lover surprises his girlfriend with a stay in a hotel. Shit hits the fan.

When little Kai watches his father come home after a five-year prison sentence, he meets the most important man in his life. But he does not have that many memories of him. Hiding behind a mask, he only sparsely lets him and the surrounding world in. Gradually, the need of fatherly love outdoes the confusion about who his father is and why he was gone. A big reunion in a small film.

A young father and mother meet each other by their little son’s hospital bed. From their terse sentences, but especially from their mutual discomfort, you can tell they are divorced and rarely talk to each other. Because their son has to stay overnight for observation, the parents are forced to spend the night together. This also forces the viewer to observe how much is left of their relationship.

A film about friendship, two separate souls who are captured by the ways of life. Times are changing. The friendship becomes brittle and the days of chilling and senseless driving are coming to an end.
