A couple of young scientists, Mel Noble and Roxeanne Tangent, travel to an island in Africa thought to be deserted in search of crocodile life, when African Natives storm the camp and kidnap Roxeanne. Her father, Gordon hires Steiger and his team of investigators to track down the natives that worship crocodiles as sacred animals. The problem is: they can't be seen. With natives in the jungles and crocodiles in the waters, Steiger and his crew must fight to survive and save Roxeanne from being sacrificed in a gruesome ritual with an "Enemy Unseen."
This time, Leon Schuster plays a filmmaker who is making a candid camera movie, only to discover that another filmmaker has stolen his ideas and is making the identical picture. How so? It seems that the thieving rival is blackmailing Schuster´s girlfriend. With the help of his friends and an ingenious talking cap that he designed himself, the good director manages to outwit the baddie, get the girl and make the country laugh.
In a series of short skits, Leon Schuster uses candid camera and several disguises to stitch up the general public of South Africa. Such sketches include: The watermelon pulse test, where Leon shows that a watermelon is only ripe when it does not have a heartbeat, much to the confusion of the seller. Cooking on the bonnet of a car, while upsetting the traffic police. Supposedly killing a cow in a butcher's shop.
A story about a fictional South African police base on the border between Angola and the former South West Africa. While patrolling, a mail convoy is ambushed and most of the soldiers are shot. The captain is rescued, but one of his constables is taken prisoner. The constable’s sister is also the captain’s girlfriend. GRENSBASIS 13 (Border Post 13) tells the story of the captain’s suspenseful and action-filled rescue attempt in order to bring his sweetheart’s brother home.
We meet the hero of this musical drama, Dolf Preller, being released on parole after spending two and a half years in prison. Stipulations for his parole are to stay out of trouble with the law, continue his studies at university and to come into contact with the rector on arriving on campus . Soon after his arrival he runs into Jan van Vollenhoven - the brother of the man he killed, which caused his jail sentence. Van Vollenhoven promises to make life very difficult for him. He also attracts the unwanted attention of Briers and Schoeman, two students that have been trying to pass their third year without success and have earned bad reputations for fooling around rather than doing any studying. He meets the lovely daughter of the rector and a special relationship soon develops between them. The rector, however, makes it clear that Preller is an unacceptable partner for his daughter.
"Liefste Veertjie" is based on the popular novel "Waar Die Liefde Begin" by Chris Heyns and is about the developing romance between Peet, a medical student in his final year, and Elaine, a cute freshman. Elaine's father is Dean of the Medical Faculty, very successful in his profession and by no means impressed with his daughter's actions.
This is a romantic drama about class and expectations, set on a university campus. Two Pretoria students, Joerie Anker (Snip) and Christina Burger (Rissiepit), are in love – to the chagrin of Christina’s better-off parents. Her mother thinks Joerie is not good enough for her daughter and her father, an influential member of the university hierarchy, threatens to have his grant suspended if he doesn't stop seeing his daughter. Parental pressure forces Christina to sever ties with Joerie and she starts seeing the arrogant Piet Stadler. But their relationship is doomed because of Piet’s intense jealousy of Joerie who, he believes, is still the love of Christina’s life. Piet vents his anger on Joerie and Christina when he bumps them off a bridge one night after the two have been out in Joerie’s jalopy. While Christina comes away with light injuries, Joerie has to fight for his life.
Kobus le Grange, a game farmer moves onto his newly acquired farm, and wants to be left in peace to restore it. His neighbours who also want the farm will however not leave him in peace, and sabotage his efforts. One ray of hope, a developing love interest is intertwined with tragedy.
The police discover trace the perpetrators of a bank robbery to a group of organized criminals. The criminals attempt to use the sister of a deceased gang member to infiltrate the cops, but when she learns the gang was responsible for her brothers' death, she turns coat and assists the police in foiling the gang's plans.
After a car accident, singing surgeon Dr Dawid Retief learns he will be blind within two years, while his daughter is paralyzed. In order to raise money for Marietjie's treatment in the United States Retief starts doing concerts.
Hans and Sydney are on a bus tour to the Cape. Hans is Afrikaans; Sydney is English. They chat up two pretty young women - and also quarrel between themselves all the way. Finally the tour guide kicks them off, forcing the two men to walk back to Johannesburg hoping that, despite the language barrier, they can finally get along.
