The hilarious sequel to the 1989 hit The Yuppie Fantasia, Brief Encounter in Shinjuku brings back Lawrence Cheng as a thirty-something Hong Kong yuppie finding misadventures in love and marriage. Leung Foon and Ann reunite after the events of The Yuppie Fantasia, but issues still exist. Ann works overtime to be a better wife, and Leung Foon attempts mightily to be a model, upright husband.
A college professor and his wife moves into a house inhabited by the ghost of his friend's grandfather's concubine. The ghost is trying to locate the ghost of her dear husband while trying to communicate with the house's new owners.
Story is about a couple of girls named Ching (Lam San San) and An An (Pak Wan Yin) who have been rivals ever since they were little kids. The main gist of the story, besides trying to go one up on each other, deals with the girls’ hot pursuit of super jock, Paul (Chan Chun Kwok). Ching is the first one to gain Paul’s attention while An An is busy toying with geeky looking Michael’s (Dicky Cheung) love for her. Eventually, Paul gets tired of Ching and Michael wakes up and realizes that An An is playing him and to rub salt in their wounds, Paul decides that An An is the one for him! Next thing you, kiddy hijinks ensue as Michael and Ching feign suicide to make Paul and An An feel guilty, but when the latter believes that the suicide is for real, they too (half heartedly) decide to take their own lives. Michael and Ching must rush to save them from death, but during the whole near explosive melee, they come to the conclusion that they were made for each other.
Leslie is Simon, a mild mannered guy starting a new job and taking care of his mom and dad. He catches a glimpse of a pretty girl named Monica at the MTR station--and it's love at first sight. But she's going through a tough breakup with a guy who's married. She does get over it and the two become a couple. But not only does her ex return, Simon is constantly interrupted by a perky rich girl Anita, who spends lots of money on him, is annoying, but is just looking for company. This strains Simon and Monica's quest for love, but finally she puts Simon to a test, once again at the MTR station...
A cop suffering from "posterior ulcers" tries to catch a serial killer who seeks out victims with medical problems. One suspect is a man who makes pies from guts, which the cop inadvertantly eats. Eventually the hero cop finds himself tied to an operating table with the killer preparing to deal with his "posterior ulcers"!
Keung has a pregnant wife but he has been unemployed for a long period. One day he gets a new job as a security guard in a commercial building. But strange incidents start happening and his colleagues die in horrible ways one by one. A geomancer tells Keung that he will be the next victim and teaches him how to avoid his fate. But Keung begins to notice his wife's strange behaviour...
