The Tamil version of the reality show where a number of contestants (known as "housemates") live in a purpose-built house and are isolated from the rest of the world. Each week, housemates nominate two of their fellow housemates for eviction, and the housemates who receive the most nominations faces a public vote out.
Azhagiya Pandipuram is a Tamil comedy movie released on Dec 5th 2014. Elango Nagarajah and Anjena Kirti were in the leading role along with M.S Baskar, Manobala, Panju Subbu, Sriman, Devadarshini, Meera Krishnan, Fathima Babu, Yuvarani and many others. The movie was directed by N.Rayan and produced by N.Kirubakaran under the banner of Thaimann Production. Bharathwaj composed 5 songs and background music for this film. The film was shot in the Theni, Karaikkudi and Kodaikanal areas in Tamil Nadu.
Matinee is a 2012 Malayalam romantic film directed by Aneesh Upasana and starring Maqbool Salmaan and Mythili in the lead roles. The film marks the directorial debut of still photographer Aneesh Upasana while Mammootty's nephew Maqbool Salmaan plays his first lead role. The story is about two person's journey to filmdom and how their life changes on one Friday's matinée show. The film's lead role is played by Maqbool Salmaan who had earlier appeared in a short role in A. K. Saajan's Asuravithu. Maqbool is the nephew of noted actor Mammootty. He is the son of Ibrahimkutty, the younger brother of Mammootty who had been a popular star in the miniscreen. The film is produced by AOPL Entertainment which also launched Mammootty's son Dulquer Salmaan earlier the year through Second Show.[1] Matinee released on 13 December to positive reviews from critics and audiences. The film was appreciated for its realistic approach and the performances by lead actors.

Little John is a 2001 trilingual fantasy film written, Executive Produced and directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao. Bentley Mitchum and Jyothika play the lead roles with Anupam Kher, Prakash Raj and Nassar playing supporting roles. The film released in Tamil, Hindi and English with Pravin Mani composing the music for the project. The film opened to above average reviews and did moderate business at the box office.
Vinodh (Kunal) and Manoj (Karan) are best friends. Manoj gives Vinodh a manager job of his three-star hotel. They both are in love with Neetha (Monal), but Neetha is actually in love with Vinodh. This causes a strain in their friendship, and Manoj fires Vinodh from his manager job. The film ends with a message to the audience that 'love is divine (pleasing) but friendship is pristine (unspoilt)
Surya (Ajith) has been brought up in the army barracks in Ooty, ever since his mother(Sukanya) handed him over as a baby to a brigadier (Nasser). She tells the officer the reason for her action but the audience is not allowed to hear it at this point. Surya grows up to be a patriotic youth and the best soldier in his class. He falls in love with Indu (Simran), the daughter of an army officer. Indu's parents accept her choice of husband but soon after, her father dies in a bomb blast while her mother loses her life on seeing her husband's body. Not wishing to lose her husband too in war, Indu asks Surya to choose between her and the army.
Shankar(Prashanth) is a graduate of BSC nautical science, waiting for a job in the shipping industry. He is a tenant in the house of Banu(Simran), who is his good friend and confidante. They spend almost all their time together and she seeks him out as a refuge from her step brother Panneer(Raghuvaran), whom she dislikes but is forced to live together with. Shankar falls in love with Sarika(Laila). She reciprocates but problems and misunderstandings plague their romance.

The couple is a Muslim and the lady wears a purdah and it is shown that whoever lifts her purdah and sees her face faints immediately. Manivannan himself has seen his wife's face only during their first night. This provides comic relief.
