Their lives collide at a doctor's office when they are diagnosed with a life threatening illness. Each has her own struggles, but they come together to survive and support one another on a luxurious weekend away in a beautiful beach resort. An inspiring, realistic portrayal of a group of female workers struggling to keep their jobs at a doomed Puerto Rican cannery. The volatile atmosphere worsens when their boss is found murdered one morning. As the investigation goes on and each of the women is questioned, the strain puts their friendship to the ultimate test.
