People from Saitama Prefecture are persecuted and, because of this, they hide the fact that they are from there. Japan's notorius J-pop goth punk star Gackt has produced many best-selling albums and has a devoted fan base, but people still find it difficult to classify him. It is likely to be even more difficult to do so after witnessing his versatile performance in his latest tour. "The Sixth Day & Seventh Night" tour had it final show on July 4, 2004 and this lively show was chosen to be released on DVD. New band members were added for this concert, and the sound is heavier and tighter than usual, with Gackt and his band putting on an entertaining experimental performance. The stage costumes are designed by famous designer h.NAOTO.

In the 21st century, a nuclear war turned most of the Earth's surface into a desert wasteland, which also resulted in the contamination of the Earth's water supply. A man named Sanga has built the fortified haven of the "Last Land", where he rules as its dictator by monopolizing the city's uncontaminated water supply. When he learns that the neighboring residents of Freedom Village are trying to dig up a well for their own, Sanga sends his underlings to sabotage their effort. Kenshiro, master of Hokuto Shinken, gets involved in the conflict between the two regions after saving Tobi, an informant hired by Freedom Village.

In 1998, the band played a two day live at the Nippon Budokan which involved a large building as a stage prop and elaborate theatrics; each member performing a skit with another on their own (including the aforementioned skit in which Gackt fell to the stage to sing the song "Le Ciel", and returned to "Heaven" by song's end). It was a success and was released on home video as Merveilles l'espace.
