Oswald is an American children's cartoon series on Nick Jr. about a blue octopus and his friends, that first aired August 20, 2001 and officially ended in early 2004. The show was created by Dan Yaccarino and was co-produced by HiT Entertainment. It was also shown on Noggin in reruns. The show aired on Nick Jr. on CBS on September 22, 2001, to September 7, 2002. Nick Jr. aired the original episodes until the network lineup changes on March 1, 2012 took effect. It also airs on the British channel "JimJam" which is shown in numerous countries including Israel. In addition, the Indian channel Zee TV currently airs a Hindi dubbed version. It is also telecast on Indian channel Pogo as a Hindi dubbed version.
PB&J Otter is an American animated children's series which premiered on Playhouse Disney on March 15, 1998. A total of 65 episodes were produced during the course of its three season run, with the "farewell" episode airing on September 24, 2000. The series centered on the otter family who lived in the rural fishing community of Lake Hoohaw. Most stories revolved around the otter kids: older brother Peanut, younger sister Jelly, and diapered baby Butter, as well as their friends and neighbors. Supporting characters included gossipy Cranes, overly hygienic raccoons, a junk-collecting Mayor, and some very wealthy Poodles. The show was created by Jim Jinkins, and executive produced by David Campbell in close conjunction with Harvard University's Cognitive Skills Group, "Project Zero". The Group's job was to monitor each and make sure the material had a positive educational message. In that respect, PB&J Otter was one of the few shows of its kind on the air at that time. This show features songs with music by Andy Street and lyrics by Judy Rothman.
Rhythm & Blues is a short-lived 1992 American sitcom that aired on NBC for only five weeks from September 24, 1992 to October 22, 1992 with an additional left over episode airing on February 19, 1993. The show stars Roger Kabler, Anna Maria Horsford, Ron Glass, Troy Curvey Jr., Vanessa Bell Calloway, Miguel A. Nunez, Jr., and Christopher Babers. The premise of the show stars Kabler as Bobby Soul, a white man who gets hired on a black radio station after being initially mistaken as a black man. Despite being listed among NBC's Must See TV Thursday night lineup after A Different World at 8:00 and before Cheers at 9:00, the show was cancelled after only five weeks due to low ratings. The show was heavily criticized for relying on traditional black stereotypes for its humor. TV Guide said that: "What makes a show built on white jokes any better than a show built on black jokes?"
