In 1942, the British army swept North Africa and Germany was defeated. The Allies took the opportunity to counterattack Algeria and successfully landed in Morocco. Tunisia fell one after another, making the Italian mainland open wide. The defeat of the Soviet Union caused chaos in Italy and Germany, and Mussolini was forced to step down.
