Four weeks ago, the members of the Ostfildern Oasis building community moved into their building and the foundation has to be re-excavated due to a sealing problem. An even bigger problem emerges: an unidentifiable female corpse. Thorsten Lannert and Sebastian Bootz try to find their way between group meetings and expressions of feelings by the residents in order to obtain clues about the identity of the dead.

The middle of the 21st century. A dystopian drama in an overaged and run-down Germany. When the so-called "Endjährigkeit" - compulsory euthanasia at the age of 80 - is introduced, a father and a son are forced to put their broken relationship to a final test.

The life of Karsten, a mortician, isn’t going that well at the moment. Just in time for Christmas, his parents inform him during the festive dinner that they want to commit suicide together. In five days. Usually used to death, he tries everything to convince the dear mother Marion and the father Theodor, suffering from Parkinson’s disease, not to pursue their plan. But the conflict about the self-determined death opens up old wounds – and as Karsten’s own health deteriorates rapidly, it is no longer clear who needs to be saved.

Ursula, the bride's mother and her sister Hilde are late. They are climbing the staircase of the town hall to reach the rooms where the wedding ceremony will take place. Earlier, Ursula had stolen the wedding rings as she didn’t trust anyone else to keep them safe, and because she wanted to ensure that her daughter's wedding would be perfect. On the town hall's steps Ursula demonstratively puts both rings on her ring finger while she tries to convince her skeptical sister that the bride and groom are a match made in heaven. Suddenly, the rings are stuck on Ursula’s finger and the panicking best man, Walter, rushes out of the ceremony, followed by his wife, Claire. Walter is desperately searching for the rings. A conflict arises in which insults and animosities between all parties escalate - chaos is inevitable.

A 13-year-old refugee from Afghanistan living in an emergency shelter in Germany joins a Christian boys' choir to save his father who was left stranded in Hungary, and clashes with the strict choir master.

Paul Bacher is in crisis. If he could feel in the past as one of the most influential writers of his generation, he has long lacked ideas and impetus for a new great work. His reading tours are becoming more and more a sad affair with too much alcohol and too little public. Then Paul overflows in a drunken hitchhiker, flees first scared and later removes the body, without talking to anyone about the experience. But something is flowing in its interior. Paul starts to write again. The criticism is done, but the story about the death of a hitchhiker also arouses suspicion.

In the young Federal Republic, which in the late 1950s in politics and justice is still interspersed with only superficially purified Nazi cliques, leads the Hessian Attorney General Fritz Bauer a lonely fight against the coverup of Nazi crimes and the restorative policy of the government Adenauer - he is firmly convinced that only in this way can the young democracy be consolidated. Not only his attitude, but also his temperament make Bauer vulnerable, again and again resistance forms from politics, intelligence services and the judiciary against the lone fighter.

To protect the citizens from possible air attacks the GNOSIS Corporation has developed a personal bomb shelter for everyone - the new BS-2016. While nearly every household in the city has one installed already, 12 year old Alex is still begging his dad to finally buy one so he can feel safe. As the air raid alarms go off that night and lights from exploding rockets gloom in the dark skies it seems too late: Alex has to face his fears and soon discovers a dark conspiracy that not only threatens his life but the life of his whole family as well.
