Past Future is an intimate musical, a slice of life of an American family in the summer of 2020. It's a moving meditation on where we’ve been, where we are and where we might go as we share this world and pass through time together.
A drummer begins to lose his hearing and has to come to grips with a future that will be filled with silence.
A group of 40-somethings in Hollywood juggle their frustration with the movie business and upheaval in their personal lives. They also burst into song.
Follows events in 1959 and then 50 years later in 2009. The subject of the play is Clybourne Park, a sleepy, “status quo” suburb of Chicago, which is sparked to life when a group of “well-meaning” neighbors convene a meeting to voice their concerns – dripping with politeness, apparent tolerance and searching innuendo. A blistering debate over property lines and community devolves into all-out war.
