Yamagishi, who runs a public toilet, borrowed money from Ginjiro for his daughter's school expenses. However, contrary to the feelings of her parents, her daughter Nozomi started a part-time job at a cabaret club and was absent from college. Yamagishi, who made a mistake with his daughter and lost her hopes and dreams after closing the public bath, had no energy or method to pay interest.

The main characters are the Mamiya brothers who are living together although they are over 30-years-old. Unconcerned with appearance and reputations, they enjoy their life in their own way. The only concern is the lack of girlfriends. One day, however, a change occurs to their mundane lives. The elder brother, Akinobu (Kuranosuke Sasaki), falls in love with a girl at a video shop. The younger brother, Tetsunobu (Muga Tsukaji), scrambles around to aid his brother achieve love and arranges various dates. The elder brother strives to return the effort, but gets the cold shoulder. The two brothers return to their original lives, continuing with their ordinary, but happy days.

Tetsuta Fukuda inherited the goodwill of a long-standing puffer fish restaurant. Tetsuta has adhered to the method of his predecessor, but his clients have stopped silvering and he has been unable to return the interest to Ginjiro. There, an offer came from Keihan Central Land Development to transfer the land for the store.

Ryuichi is in debt after being fired from a first-class hotel due to food poisoning. He opens a ramen shop with Ginjiro's borrowed money and turns it into a thriving shop. However, Ryuichi, who was hospitalized due to the aftermath of the assault received from a high school student in the past and the rent for the store was stagnant, will once again borrow money from Ginjiro.

Momoyo, a former labor and social security lawyer, runs a fraudulent company that receives government subsidies. Borrowing from Ginjiro is good too. There was a reason why Momoyo was so depressed. Ginjiro's clients get over their debts one after another with the wisdom of former yakuza Yakuza Yahata (Eisaku Shindo), who borrows a sign from a law firm and a half in his own bankruptcy. After the death of his father, Hiroyuki (Koji Nishiyama), who took over as the funeral director to pay the debt to Ginjiro, decided to resign as the funeral director and go bankrupt after suffering. Ginjiro's anger is at the top of his territory!

Naoto Ogata plays Sadajiro, a young farmer fighting out the battle of the riot through to the end. Sadajiro's wife is played by Hiromi Iwasaki, his father is played by Go Kato and Ryuzo Hayashi plays a leader of the Riot. The Riot in Gujo is called one of the biggest three riots in the Edo Period as it took almost 5 years to settle and also involved the Edo government. This movie is a period film about the riot and Gujo farmers fighting for their tenacity of purpose. The farmers had suffered enough from heavy taxes and decided to rise up in riot when the domain lord, Yorikane, issued a new act, which practically forced tax increases. Asking the lord to retract the act, they pour down to the Hachiman Castle. For once they attain the repeal deed signed by the chief retainer. However the promise is broken. Now the farmers decide to make a direct plea to the Edo Residence…This film is full tension and breathless moments.

After spending 20 years searching for the object of his vengeance, Sekiya Kanbei discovers he is now a ronin. Inui Sanshiro was the head of a clan until his son succeeded him, or so he says. Genmu claims to have once been a ninja. These three elderly men join forces to travel the Japanese countryside together. Along the way, they encounter situations that bring out the "warrior" in each of them, and soon they are fighting the corruption and injustices that plague the common people.

Born over a tofu shop in Osaka, twin sisters Reiko and Kyoko have very different characters. Reiko is diligent, and longs for a secure, middle class lifestyle. Kyoko is a free spirit, who seeks thrills and adventure.

In terms of the cast, only Imai Ryosuke (Akashi family Akita), Kamazaki Peach (Obamboo endure), Ozawa Jungu Nine (Shicoka Crano Taro) from the summer story fixed, the other members have been replaced. Shallow kura ChiMing (Chi on JiShi son) was transferred to London to work, in the end of the summer story, with it and agreed to marry the zhen nine Lang returned to the single state.

Retired yakuza gangster Shuji (Ken Takakura) moves back from Osaka to a remote coastal village to start a new life as a fisherman with his family, his arrival from the city coinciding with that of the beautiful bar hostess Keiko (Yuko Tanaka, who provided the voice of Lady Eboshi in Princess Mononoke). Keiko's new bar, as its name Hotaru ('firefly') suggests is soon acting as a magnet for all the local fishermen, much to the chagrin of their wives. Not soon after the arrival of Keiko's roguish lover Yajima (Kitano), also an ex-mobster, the locals are drawn into a host of collective vices including gambling and all-night drinking sessions.
